How HQ works

Plain-English guides for every page. Search, or pick a topic below.

Guide

Home

Your starting point: how close you are to launch, your newest leads, and your support requests.

How to use it

  1. The bar at the top shows your launch progress. Press Continue onboarding to pick up where you left off.
  2. Once your site preview is ready, the Your website card lets you open the preview and review its words.
  3. When onboarding is done and you are happy with the preview, an owner or an admin presses Request launch.
  4. Latest leads and Your requests show the newest few. Open Leads or More for your firm to see them all.

What happens next: Request launch tells our team you are ready. We launch once your bar number is checked, every Draft block is filled, and Guardrail finds nothing that must be fixed.

Common questions

Why can’t I press Request launch?

Only an owner or an admin can, and only after onboarding is complete and the preview is built.

Signing in and two-step login

How to get into HQ, and what to do if your phone changes.

How to use it

  1. Enter your work email. We email you a one-time code (or a link). There is no password to remember.
  2. The first time, scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password.
  3. After that, each sign-in asks for the 6-digit code your authenticator app shows for AttorneyLogic.

Common questions

I got a new phone or lost my authenticator app.

Email hello@getattorneylogic.com from your work email. We confirm it’s you, then reset your two-step login so you can set it up again.

The email code never came.

Check spam and promotions, then ask for a new code. Codes expire after a short time, so use the newest one.

Can a coworker use my login?

No. Invite them on the Team page so they get their own login. Shared logins break the record of who did what.

Guide

Onboarding

Everything we need to build your site, in eight steps you can do in any order.

On your website: Your phone, email, address, hours, practice areas, cities, logo, colors, photos, and attorney profiles all appear on your website.

How to use it

  1. Firm basics: how clients reach you, your hours, practice areas (one per line), and the cities you serve.
  2. Brand: upload the largest logo file you have and pick your colors. Not sure about colors? Leave them and we match your logo.
  3. Photos and video: attorneys, your office, your team. Aim for at least ten. Attorney photos appear on their profile and team sections once attached in step 4. Choose which photo goes in each place on your site page by page; photos you haven’t placed are kept but not shown. No client photos or case documents, please.
  4. Attorneys: one profile each, with a title and a short bio. Guardrail checks the bio as you type. Each attorney shows their photo beside their name; press Edit to change a name, title, or bio.
  5. Your voice: three sliders and a few words that tell us how your writing should sound, plus questions clients ask you most.
  6. Fees and pricing: one line per fee, for example a free consultation. Lines that pass Guardrail show in a Fees list on your Contact page and each practice-area page.
  7. Access: invite us to your old website, domain, or Google accounts. For a login that can only be shared as a password, use the Vault.
  8. Review and submit opens when the other seven steps are done. Press Submit for build.

What happens next: Everything saves as you go, and the progress bar updates. After you submit, we write your site’s words and send them to the Your site page for your approval. Once your site is built, changes you make here reach it when you press Update my site now on the Your site page.

Common questions

Is the Vault safe?

Each entry is encrypted and never shown again. Only your launch team can open it, every view is logged in Activity, and it is deleted 30 days after launch.

Can I change something after I submit?

Yes. Edit the step and save, or send us a request from More for your firm.

Ask Clerk

Tell Clerk what to change on your site in your own words. It finds the pages, drafts the changes, and you decide what to keep.

On your website: Clerk changes your words, photos, attorney headshots, logo, brand colors, section switches, announcement banner, and practice areas. Layouts, fonts, and spacing stay locked so nothing breaks.

How to use it

  1. Type what you want, the way you’d say it to a web designer. For example: “Mention that we offer free consultations,” “Make our accent color navy,” or “Turn off the reviews on the homepage.”
  2. Changing a photo? Press Add photos and pick it, then say where it goes: “Use this on the Contact page” or “Swap my headshot for this one.” It joins your photo library too.
  3. Press Ask Clerk. It reads every page of your site and drafts the changes, usually in 20 to 60 seconds.
  4. Each change shows Before and After: words with the new ones in green and the removed ones crossed out, photos side by side, colors as swatches. Guardrail checks every word against your state’s bar rules.
  5. Press Keep, Edit, or Skip on each one, or Keep all. Keep all leaves out switching a section off and removing a practice area: press Keep on those yourself. Kept changes are saved as drafts. Your site doesn’t change yet.
  6. When you’re ready, an owner or an admin presses Publish. Your site updates in about two minutes.

What happens next: Kept changes also show in Your site as “Edited, not published,” and every version is saved, so you can go back to an earlier one any time.

Common questions

Can Clerk add facts or promise results?

No. Clerk only uses what’s already on your site and in your firm details, and it follows the bar rules: no guarantees, no “best” or “expert,” no invented reviews. Guardrail checks every change too.

What if I ask for something Clerk can’t do?

It tells you why, and links to where it can be done: Site extras for careers or events, or a request to our team for a new kind of page or a design change.

Can Clerk change my fonts or move sections around?

No. The design stays locked so your site stays fast, easy to read, and unbroken on every phone. Our team can talk with you about design changes.

What keeps colors readable?

Your main color has to be dark and your background light, or Clerk won’t use them. Where an accent color would make text hard to read, your site uses a deeper shade of it there.

Is there a limit?

Clerk takes up to 30 requests a day for your firm. The bar under the Ask Clerk button shows how many are left today, and it updates after every request.

Your site: editing and publishing

Edit your website’s writing and photos, publish when you’re ready, and go back to an earlier version of any writing anytime.

On your website: Everything on this page is the writing on your website: the homepage, your story, each practice area page, and the legal pages.

How to use it

  1. Section switches: every section you can do without has an On and Off switch on its card (sections with no words to write get a row of their own). Switch one off and it leaves your site at your next Publish; switch it back on any time. Page headings and contact forms always stay.
  2. Your site opens on the Home page tab. Each page has its own tab, with its words on the left and your real page on the right. Whatever you click into, the page jumps to it and frames it in green, and it updates as you type. (Editing works on a computer, not a phone.)
  3. Prefer a list? The tabs show every part by page: Home page, About, Practice areas, Legal, and Photos and logo. Overview shows anything waiting for you.
  4. Type your changes. Guardrail checks the words as you type, and the preview shows how it will look.
  5. Press Save edit. Your site doesn’t change yet. The card shows “Edited, not published.”
  6. When you’re done, an owner or an admin presses Publish at the top. Your site updates in about two minutes.
  7. Changed your mind? Press Earlier versions on any card, then Restore this version.
  8. Words our team writes for you appear under Waiting for your review. Approve them, ask for changes, or edit them yourself.
  9. Under Your logo and photos, every image shows where it’s used. Replace swaps it everywhere it’s used. Delete asks first and tells you what it will remove.
  10. Your logo in the header: your header is dark, so upload the light (white) version of your logo. No light version? Upload your icon (the symbol alone) and it shows beside your firm’s name.
  11. Attorney photo changes reach your site when you press Publish. Phone, hours, attorneys, and fees live in Onboarding. Change them there, then press Update my site now here.
  12. Case results (Verdict and Landmark designs): Overview → Case results → Add a result. Only your own results, each confirmed accurate and shared with your client’s permission. They show with the results disclaimer once you press Publish; until you add one, the results section stays off your site.
  13. Overview → Accessibility shows whether everyone can use your site: photo descriptions, link and button names, form labels, and headings. It’s checked automatically every time your site updates.
  14. Need a short notice, like “Our office is closed Friday”? Overview → Banner. Write it, add a link if you like, and set when it turns off. Save it and your site shows it in about two minutes. Turn off banner takes it down.

What happens next: Publishing keeps every version word for word, with who published it and when, and lists it in Activity. Only owners and admins can publish or restore. Staff can edit and save.

Common questions

Can I edit my site on my phone?

Not yet. Editing works on a computer, where you can see your page while you change it. On your phone you can still open your site to look at it.

I saved an edit but my site hasn’t changed.

Saving keeps your edit here. Press Publish at the top to put it on your site. Your site then updates in about two minutes.

Guardrail won’t let me save.

A word marked Must fix breaks the bar’s advertising rules, such as a promise of results. Use the suggestion beside it, then save.

I made a mistake after publishing.

Open Earlier versions on that card and press Restore this version. The earlier words go back on your site in about two minutes.

Why isn’t my logo on my site?

Your site’s header is dark, so a normal (dark) logo would disappear. Upload the light (white) version of your logo with Upload light logo, or just your icon with Upload icon, then press Publish. Not sure you have a light version? Ask whoever designed your logo, or ask us.

My banner should have ended but I still see it.

It turns off by the time on the visitor’s device, so it may linger for someone whose clock is off. Press Turn off banner to take it off your site for everyone.

Can I get a deleted photo back?

No. Deleting removes the file for good, so keep your own copy of anything you may want again.

Can I add a new page or a blog post?

Blog posts: yes, from Blog in the menu. A new page: not here yet. Ask us from More for your firm and we’ll add it.

What does Draft block mean?

A part of your site we are still writing with you. It is clearly marked on the preview and never shown to the public.

Blog: writing and publishing articles

Write articles for your website, check them with Guardrail, and publish them when an owner or an admin approves.

On your website: Your Blog page lists every published article, newest first. Each article gets its own page with its author, its questions and answers, its numbered sources, and links to the matching practice area and to your contact page.

How to use it

  1. Press New post. Write the title as the question your clients ask, then a short description: it shows in Google and on your Blog page.
  2. Write the article in the boxes: a paragraph, a heading, or a bullet each. Press Enter in a box to start the next one.
  3. Pick the attorney who wrote or reviewed it, and the practice area it is about. The article links to that practice area page.
  4. Add common questions and their answers, and the sources you relied on (the statute, the court’s self-help page). Each source needs its full web address.
  5. Guardrail checks the title, the description, the article, and the answers as you type. Words marked Must fix can’t be saved.
  6. Press Save draft. Nothing reaches your site yet. Staff can press Send for approval so an owner or an admin knows it’s ready.
  7. An owner or an admin presses Publish. Your site updates in about two minutes.
  8. To change a published article, an owner or an admin edits it and presses Save changes, and it updates on your site. Take off site turns it back into a draft. Only a draft can be deleted.

What happens next: Every save, approval request, publish, and removal is listed in Activity with who did it. Once an article has been published, its web address stays the same so links to it keep working.

Common questions

Who can publish?

Your firm’s owner and admins. Staff can write and save drafts, and send them for approval. Read-only teammates can read the posts.

Why can’t I save?

A word marked Must fix breaks the bar’s advertising rules, such as a promise of results or a claim to be the best. Use the suggestion beside it, then save.

Will you write posts for us?

Our blog writer will leave drafts here for you, marked as written by AttorneyLogic. Nothing goes on your site until someone at your firm reads it and presses Publish.

Can I add a photo?

Yes. Upload it in Onboarding, step Photos, then pick it as the cover and describe it in a few words. Without one, your design’s own cover is used.

Is the blog in Spanish too?

No. Your articles show in English on both versions of your site.

Your site in Spanish

A Spanish copy of every page of your site, with the Spanish approved by you line by line.

On your website: Every line of your site with its Spanish. Your design’s own words come translated; our team writes Spanish for your words; you approve it.

How to use it

  1. Open Your site → Overview → Spanish site, or go to Spanish site from Help.
  2. “Waiting for you” lists Spanish our team wrote. Read each line, change anything you like, and press Approve (or Save and approve after an edit).
  3. Marks like ‹these› wrap words that show in bold, italics, or as a link. Keep them around the matching Spanish words.
  4. Names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails stay as they are.
  5. Check “Publish the Spanish site once every line is approved”, then press Publish on Your site. When every line is approved, your site gets a Spanish copy at /es/ and a “Ver este sitio en español” link at the top of every page.
  6. Change your English later and that line needs Spanish again; the Spanish site keeps the last approved version until it’s ready.

What happens next: Only owners and admins can approve. Staff can write drafts. In Texas, disclaimers must appear in each language your site uses, and yours do.

Common questions

Who writes the Spanish?

Our team, for every line of your own words. Your design’s words (menus, buttons, form labels, notices) are already translated. You can also write or change any line yourself.

Why isn’t my Spanish site up yet?

It goes up only when every line on your site has approved Spanish, so visitors never see half-translated pages. The top of the Spanish site page shows how many lines are left.

Guardrail and the bar rules

Guardrail checks your site’s words against lawyer advertising rules, so nothing risky slips through.

How to use it

  1. As you type in HQ (attorney bios, fees, reviews), Guardrail flags words that need care.
  2. Must fix words, such as promises of results, can’t be saved onto your site at all.
  3. Worth a look notes are for you to decide. Keep the words or change them.
  4. Every day Guardrail also reads your live site and lists anything it finds on the Your site page.

What happens next: A finding clears on the next daily check once the words are gone. Tell us and we’ll make the change for your approval.

Common questions

Is Guardrail legal advice?

No. It is a review aid. It never changes your site on its own, and you decide what to do. Your own bar’s rules always come first.

Why was a word like “best” or “guarantee” blocked?

Most state bars don’t allow claims a lawyer can’t prove, or promises about results. Guardrail suggests other wording you can use instead.

Guide

Reviews

Your live Google rating and the client reviews your website shows. Our team keeps the reviews current for you.

On your website: The reviews section of your website: your Google rating and review count, then the reviews themselves, with “Past results do not guarantee a similar outcome” beneath.

How to use it

  1. Link your Google listing once: type your firm name and city, press Find, then press This is us on your listing.
  2. That’s it. Each month our team adds your best new Google reviews. You don’t have to do anything.
  3. Want to add one yourself? Paste it under Add a review, enter the client’s name as it should appear, and tick the box confirming it is public or the client agreed.
  4. To bring in many at once, download your Google Business Profile from Google Takeout and upload the file. Tick the ones to show.
  5. Edit or remove any review in the On your site list.

What happens next: Your Google rating updates on its own. Added or removed reviews reach your website when you press Update my site now on the Your site page, or with our next monthly update.

Common questions

Why don’t all my Google reviews appear automatically?

Google doesn’t allow websites to copy and keep its reviews. We show your live rating straight from Google, and our team picks your best reviews each month and adds them with Guardrail’s check.

A review was blocked by Guardrail.

It contains words the bar rules don’t allow, such as a promise of results. Choose another review, or ask the client whether they would reword it.

The rating disappeared for a while.

Each site has a monthly limit on rating lookups to keep costs fair. If a very busy month reaches it, the rating returns on the 1st. Your reviews still show.

Who can change reviews?

An owner or an admin, and our team.

Leads

Every call, form, and chat from your website, in one list.

How to use it

  1. Each row shows when the lead came in, who it is, what it’s about, and where they found you.
  2. Use All, New, Booked, and Signed to filter the list.
  3. Change a lead’s status as you work it: New, Contacted, Booked, Signed, or Not a fit.
  4. Click a name to open the lead: call or email them, read their message, add notes, set a follow-up date and who has it, and see its history.
  5. Spam or a duplicate? Owners and admins can Remove it on the lead page. It’s kept 30 days under Removed, in case you change your mind.
  6. When a client is Signed, their lead page offers Ask for a Google review: one email, the same words for every client, sent once.
  7. Press Download all (CSV) for a spreadsheet of every lead.
  8. Urgent leads come first. Your site’s forms ask whether a court date or deadline is coming up. If it’s within two weeks, the lead gets a red Urgent tag on Leads and Home, and the Urgent filter shows them all. Their answers are on the lead’s page, under their message.
  9. Use Clio Grow? Owners and admins: Leads → Send leads to Clio or Lawmatics, pick Clio Grow. Copy your Lead capture token from Clio Grow (Settings, Integrations, Lead capture), paste it, press Connect, then Send a test lead. Every new website lead then lands in your Clio Grow inbox too.
  10. Use Lawmatics? Same place, pick Lawmatics. Paste a Lawmatics API access token (from Settings → Developers in Lawmatics, or ask Lawmatics support for API access), press Connect, then Send a test lead. Every new website lead then becomes a new matter in Lawmatics, with its contact, message, and answers. You can connect one of the two at a time.
  11. Possible conflicts get flagged. Owners and admins: open Conflicts list at the bottom of Leads and add the names you can’t take a case for or against (one per line, with an email or phone if you have it). Any new lead that matches gets a purple Possible conflict tag. Only owners and admins can see the list.
  12. Spam stays out of your way. Your site quietly sets aside messages that are clearly spam (lots of links, sales pitches) and anything from a sender you blocked. Nobody is emailed about them, and they’re left out of your reports. Look under Spam now and then; Not spam moves a real person back.
  13. Getting junk from someone? Open the lead and press Mark as spam, with Also block checked. Their next messages go straight to Spam. Blocked emails and numbers, at the bottom of Leads, lists everyone blocked; Unblock takes one off.
  14. With Lead follow-up emails, each lead’s page shows the follow-ups sent and the next one due, with a Stop follow-ups button. Changing the status from New stops them too.
  15. Chat leads come from the chat on your website. It says up front that it’s an automated assistant, not a person, and gives no legal advice. When a visitor leaves their name and a phone number or email, the lead lands here like a form, and its page shows the whole conversation under Chat conversation.

What happens next: Status changes save right away. Marking leads as booked or signed lets your monthly report show which sources bring signed clients.

Common questions

Where do new-lead emails go?

To everyone who turned on lead emails on the Team page, plus up to 3 extra addresses. The written message stays here, never in email.

Could a real client end up in Spam?

Rarely, and never lost. Only clear spam is set aside, and it waits under Spam for 30 days. Press Not spam and it moves back to your leads, and that sender is unblocked.

Can I block a whole company?

Yes. Under Blocked emails and numbers, pick Everyone at a domain and type it, like spammy-seo.com. Email services real people use, like gmail.com, can’t be blocked this way: block the one address instead.

What does “held” mean?

If a payment fails, new leads are held after 3 days until it’s paid. Your website stays live. The moment you pay, every held lead is delivered.

Online booking

Visitors pick a time for a consultation on your website. Comes with the Growth plan and up.

On your website: Your Contact page and your Book page (your site address followed by /book/) show the open times, labeled with your time zone, then a short form.

How to use it

  1. Set your weekly hours: for each day, add one or more blocks of time, or leave it Closed. Press + Add hours for a second block, such as after lunch.
  2. Pick the consultation length, a break between bookings, the minimum notice (how soon someone can book), and how many days ahead they can book. Check the time zone.
  3. Add a short note if you like, such as whether consultations are by phone or at the office. Guardrail checks it. Press Save settings.
  4. Switch Booking on. The Preview card shows the next open times exactly as visitors will see them.
  5. Press Copy booking link to put your Book page in your email signature or Google Business Profile.
  6. Charge for consultations? Under Consultation fee, add the amount and the link to your own payment page (LawPay, Clio Payments, or a Stripe payment link). Press Save fee.
  7. Upcoming lists every booking. Press Cancel if you can’t make one; the visitor gets an email with a link to book again. After a time has passed, mark it Completed or No-show.

What happens next: Each booking is saved here and as a lead on your Leads page (marked Booked), with where the visitor came from. Your team gets an email with a calendar file; the visitor gets a confirmation with a calendar file and a cancel link, and a reminder about a day before. A cancelled time opens up again on your website.

Common questions

Can two people book the same time?

No. The moment one person books a time, it disappears for everyone else, and the system refuses a second booking for it.

Does it connect to Google Calendar or Outlook?

Not yet. Every booking email has a calendar file: open it and it adds the booking to whatever calendar you use. A direct calendar connection is planned.

What if I’m out one day?

Remove that day’s hours before it comes up, or cancel the bookings you can’t keep. Times already booked aren’t changed when you edit your hours.

How do consultation fees work?

Your website shows the fee before people pick a time. After they book, they get a Pay button that opens your own payment page, and the same button is in their confirmation and reminder emails. The money goes straight to you, never through AttorneyLogic. When it’s paid, press Mark fee paid on the booking, and the reminder stops asking.

Who can change it?

Owners and admins change the settings and switch it on or off. Staff can cancel bookings and mark them completed or no-show. Viewers can look.

Why don’t I see the times on my site?

Booking must be on, your plan must include it, and there must be open times with your settings. A site built before online booking existed shows the times after its next update.

Reports

Your monthly lead report: how many leads, where they came from, and how that compares with the month before.

How to use it

  1. Each month’s report is ready on the 1st.
  2. Pick a month from the menu at the top.
  3. Press Save as PDF to keep or share a one-page copy.
  4. Want to know what your ads cost? Owners and admins: under the report, enter what you spent that month on Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook and Instagram ads, or lawyer directories, and press Save ad spend. The report then shows the cost per lead and the cost per signed client for each one.

What happens next: Ad spend shows at once and is written in Activity. Change or clear an amount anytime; an empty box means none.

Common questions

Why does it say “None signed yet” instead of a cost?

A cost per signed client needs at least one signed client from that ad. Mark leads Signed on the Leads page and the number appears. We never divide by zero or guess.

Which leads count toward an ad?

Only visits tagged as that ad: Google Ads auto-tagging, or links with utm_medium=cpc (or paid) for Microsoft, Facebook, and Instagram ads. A free visit from Facebook never lowers your ad cost. Lawyer directories count every visit from Avvo, Justia, FindLaw, and the like.

Does it read my ad spend from Google?

Not yet. You (or our team, if you use Advocate) type it in each month.

Why does a source say “Direct visit”?

The visitor typed your address or used a bookmark, so there was no website or ad to credit.

How do I see signed clients in the report?

Mark leads as Booked or Signed on the Leads page. The next report counts them.

What counts as a visit?

One person arriving on your site, however many pages they read. Pages viewed counts every page. Search engine bots and automated tools are left out.

Why don’t visits match Google Analytics?

Each tool counts a little differently, and ours uses no cookies, so someone who comes back later, or opens your site in a new tab, counts again. Use it to see trends month to month.

When does the lead rate show?

Once your site has 100 visits in the month, so a handful of visits doesn’t give a misleading number.

  2. Enter it, set the most you ever want spent in a month, tick the sharing box, and press Save and request access.
  3. Accept our manager request inside Google Ads when it arrives.
  4. We post a checkup here. After that, anything that spends money or changes bidding shows under Waiting for your OK. Press Approve or Decline.

Team and lead emails

Who can use HQ, what each person can do, and who hears about new leads.

How to use it

  1. Who gets which leads: pick a person for each practice area, one for everything else, and who is on call for urgent leads (a court date in the next two weeks). New leads are assigned on their own. Owners and admins can change it.
  2. An owner or an admin invites a teammate with their email and picks what they can do: Viewer (look only), Staff (edit the site and onboarding), Admin (everything except removing owners), or Owner (everything, including billing).
  3. Change a role or remove someone from the list. Your firm always keeps at least one owner.
  4. Turn on Email me new leads to get each new lead by email.
  5. Add up to 3 more addresses, such as a front desk or intake inbox, for people who don’t need a login.
  6. Want a copy of everything? Owners and admins: Team → Download all your data. One ZIP with your leads (and a spreadsheet of them), notes, site writing and its history, reviews, results, reports, the activity log, and every file you uploaded.

What happens next: Invites arrive by email. Each person signs in with their own email and two-step login.

Common questions

Someone left the firm.

Remove them here right away. Their access ends at once.

Why don’t lead emails include the message?

Messages can hold private case details, so they stay inside HQ behind two-step login.

Activity

A permanent record of every important change: what happened, when, and who did it.

How to use it

  1. Scroll the list, newest first.
  2. Press Download the record (CSV) to keep a copy.
  3. Advertising record, below: a dated copy of your website from every publish. Press Download on any version.

Common questions

How long should I keep old versions of my website?

It depends on your state. Many bars require a few years. Copies here are never deleted automatically, and you can download them any time.

Can an entry be edited or deleted?

No. Nobody can, including us. That is what makes it a record you can rely on, for example if the bar ever asks.

Support and add-ons

Ask us for help, follow your requests, and add services to your plan.

How to use it

  1. Pick what it’s about, describe it, and press Send to support. Please leave out client names and case details.
  2. Your requests and their status are listed underneath. Our answer comes to your email.
  3. Add-ons: an owner or an admin presses Add to my plan, checks the price, and confirms. It goes on the same monthly bill as your plan.
  4. With the Care plan: send a change under Tell us what to change. You get 5 a month (they reset on the 1st), each done within 2 business days. You can withdraw one we haven’t started. Something bigger gets a price first and doesn’t use up a request.
  5. Adding one mid-month adds a prorated amount for the rest of that billing month to your next automatic payment. After that it’s the full monthly price, charged to your card on file with your plan.
  6. Remove stops an add-on at the end of the month you’ve already paid for. There’s no partial refund, and Keep it on turns it back on before then without charging again.
  7. Coming soon add-ons can’t be added yet. Press Tell me when it’s ready and we’ll email you.
  8. Advocate and Brand Kit: press Ask about it. Nothing is charged until you approve a price.
  9. Tailored: design changes made only for your firm (touches, a new section, or your own homepage). An owner or admin describes it and presses Ask for a price. When the price is ready, press Approve and pay to charge your card on file, or No thanks. You see a preview before anything changes on your live site.
  10. Have Lead follow-up emails? Its card at the top lets an owner or admin read and approve each email, then turn follow-ups on. See the Lead follow-up emails guide.

What happens next: Your add-ons show as On within a few seconds, once Stripe confirms the change. Billing lists them too.

Common questions

Why can’t I press Add?

Only your firm’s owner or an admin can change add-ons. If a payment is overdue, pay it on Billing first.

Is anything already included?

Some add-ons come with higher plans. For example, the Spanish site is included in Premium and Landmark, and shows Included in your plan.

Lead follow-up emails

Up to three short emails from your firm to a new lead who hasn’t heard back yet. A paid add-on.

How to use it

  1. Open More for your firm. The Lead follow-up emails card shows your three emails: within the hour, on day 3, and on day 30. You can change the days for emails 2 and 3.
  2. Each email starts as a sample draft. Read it, change anything you like, and press Save changes. Drafts are never sent.
  3. Press See the email to view it exactly as a lead would: your firm’s name and colors, a Call button, your office address, and an unsubscribe link.
  4. When it reads right, an owner or admin presses Approve. Editing an approved email makes it a draft again, so nothing changes without a fresh approval.
  5. Approve at least the first email, then switch follow-ups On. Only leads that arrive after that get emails.
  6. On a lead’s page, Follow-up emails shows what was sent and when, and what comes next. Press Stop follow-ups to end them for that person.

What happens next: Emails come from your firm’s name at followup@getattorneylogic.com, and replies go to your firm’s email. They go out between 8 am and 8 pm your time, never two within 20 hours.

Common questions

When do they stop on their own?

As soon as you change the lead’s status from New, mark it spam, or remove it; when the person unsubscribes; or when they send you a new message (that newer message gets its own emails). Changing the status back to New doesn’t restart them.

Who never gets them?

Leads on your conflicts list, spam, held leads, test leads, people who unsubscribed, and anyone who didn’t leave an email.

Does it notice when they reply?

Replies go straight to your inbox, not to us, so we can’t see them. When you’ve heard back, change the status from New or press Stop follow-ups.

Why can’t I add a link or say “best”?

Guardrail checks every email against the bar advertising rules: no promised results and no “best” claims. Links are left out because the email already has a Call button and your reply address.

Who can change them?

Owners and admins write, approve, and switch them on or off. Staff can stop them on a lead. Viewers can look.

Billing

Your plan, card or bank account, invoices, add-ons, design, and cancel: all here.

How to use it

  1. Your plan shows the monthly rate and the date and amount of your next payment.
  2. Change plan: press Move up or Move down. You see the exact amount, with tax, before anything changes. Moving up charges the difference for the rest of this billing period plus the difference between the two plans’ setup fees. Moving down charges nothing now: the unused time becomes a credit on your next invoices (never paid out). A founding rate stays with you on any plan.
  3. How often you pay: monthly, or yearly with two months free. Switching to yearly is charged now; switching back to monthly starts when your paid year ends. Prices are plus sales tax.
  4. Update card or bank account opens Stripe’s secure form right on this page. It becomes the one charged automatically.
  5. Billing email is where receipts and payment notices go.
  6. Invoices and receipts lists every charge. Receipt opens the paid receipt to download; Invoice downloads the invoice PDF.
  7. Cancel my plan: it runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for, then stops. Press Keep my plan anytime before then to undo it.

What happens next: Only owners and admins can see invoices or change billing. Card and bank details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.

Common questions

A payment failed. What happens?

A banner shows here and Stripe tries your card again over the next few days. If it’s still unpaid after 3 days, new leads are held, most of HQ locks, and your owners and admins get one email. Your website stays live. After 30 days unpaid, your website goes offline: visitors see a “temporarily unavailable” page with your phone number. Nothing is deleted. Update your card or bank account here and the overdue payment is charged again at once; everything comes back within minutes, with every held lead delivered.

Who can manage billing?

Your firm’s owners and admins. Staff and viewers see the plan but not invoices, and can’t change anything. Our team can’t change your billing either.

What happens if we change plans?

Moving up charges the difference for the rest of this billing period right away, plus the difference between the two plans’ one-time setup fees (for example Growth to Premium: $3,500 minus the $995 you paid). Moving down charges nothing now; the unused time on your old plan becomes a credit on your next invoices (not paid out). Setup fees are never refunded or credited. Landmark’s design comes only with the Landmark plan: moving to Landmark switches your site to it, and moving down from Landmark asks which design you want. Your words, photos and leads come with you.

What happens to our data if we cancel?

Your plan stays on until the end of the month you’ve paid for. Before then, download everything from Team → Download all your data. We keep your data for 90 days after the plan ends, then delete it for good.

Settings

Everything your firm can turn on, connect, or change, in one place.

How to use it

  1. Just for you: turn new-lead emails and texts on or off for yourself. For texts, type your own mobile number and press Save. Texts are marked Coming soon until phone carriers approve our texting registration.
  2. For the whole firm: each line says where it stands (On, Off, Connected) and opens its page: firm details, your web address, online booking, practice software, follow-up emails, the Spanish site, team, billing, and downloading your data.
  3. Switches that are simple, like texting callers back after a missed call, work right on this page. Owners and admins can change the firm’s settings.
  4. This computer: press Install HQ (Chrome or Edge), or in Safari choose File, then Add to Dock. Turn on New-lead notifications and, when your browser asks, press Allow; a new lead then pops up on your screen. Press Send a test to check. It’s set per computer, and only on computers: on your phone, use Text me new leads.

Your web address

Use your firm’s own web address, like www.yourfirm.com, for your site.

How to use it

  1. Your site starts at an address like yourfirm.getattorneylogic.com. It keeps working there even after you connect your own.
  2. An owner or admin types the address you own and presses Connect it. We set it up as www.yourfirm.com.
  3. Add the one record shown (a CNAME) at the company where you bought your domain, then forward yourfirm.com to www.yourfirm.com there.
  4. Press Check again. Once it says Live, your site opens at your own address with a secure connection, and your forms and Google links use it.

Site extras

Payments and client login links, the map, careers and applications, guides, events, and newsletter sign-ups.

On your website: Make a Payment and Client Login links, a map on the Contact page, and Careers, Guides, and Events pages, each in your design.

How to use it

  1. Google: paste your Google Analytics 4 ID (G-…) and, if you run Google Ads, the Ads tag ID (AW-…) and lead conversion label, or a Tag Manager ID (GTM-…). Your site then sends a lead for every form sent and a call for every phone tap. Empty means nothing from Google loads.
  2. Links and sections: paste your LawPay or Clio Payments page and your client login page (leave one empty for no button). Switch Careers, Events, Free guides, the map, or the newsletter sign-up off if you don’t want them; a switched-off section disappears from your site, its links, and Google. Press Save. Payments go straight to you.
  3. Careers: add each opening with its title, type, place, and description. Your Careers page lists them with an application form; with none, it takes general applications.
  4. Applications: each one shows the person, the job, their note, and Open resume. Move it to Reviewed or Archived, or delete it. One tagged “Spam check didn’t pass” is usually spam; look before deleting. Only owners and admins can see applications.
  5. Guides: upload a PDF with a title. Visitors leave their name and email to download it, and each download arrives on Leads.
  6. Events: add the name, date, time, and place (or Online). Use your own sign-up link, or leave it empty and sign-ups arrive on Leads. Past events drop off on their own.
  7. Newsletter: sign-ups from your footer are listed here. Press Download the list for a spreadsheet you can import into your email tool, and remove anyone who asks.

What happens next: Links, openings, guides, and events show on your website after you press Publish on Your site. Applications, guide downloads, event sign-ups, and newsletter sign-ups arrive as soon as they are sent.

Site library

Videos for the top of your pages.

On your website: A video plays behind a page’s headline instead of its banner photo, on the pages you pick.

How to use it

  1. Header videos: filter by practice area, point at (or tap) a video to see it move, and press Use this video. Tick the pages it goes on (Home, About, Attorneys, Practice Areas, every practice area page, Contact, Areas We Serve) and press Save pages. Each page plays one video. It plays muted and loops, only while it’s on screen. Phones get a lighter version made for tall screens, and visitors who turn off motion see a still. Every library video is free to use and shows no people.
  2. You can also pick right on each page: Your site → a page tab → Photos and videos on this page → Use a video. Press Show the photo instead to go back to that page’s banner photo.

What happens next: Your choice goes out the next time you press Publish on Your site, usually within a few minutes.

Texts

Text everyone who agreed to get texts from your firm: news, closures, reminders, events.

On your website: With Text sign-ups on, your footer sign-up gets an unticked “Text me updates too” box. People who tick it and add a mobile number join your list, with the exact words they agreed to saved.

How to use it

  1. Your list: everyone who agreed to get texts, how they joined, and when. Someone who signs up on your website gets one text asking them to reply YES, and shows as Waiting for YES until they do. Only add someone by hand if they agreed in writing; you confirm that each time. Anyone who texts STOP comes off every list right away, and only they can rejoin, from your website.
  2. Write your text: up to 320 characters. It always starts with your firm’s name and ends “Reply STOP to opt out.” Guardrail checks every word, just like your site. In Florida and Texas every text starts with “Advertisement:” as the bar rules require; elsewhere you can add it.
  3. Send: it goes to everyone on the list who hasn’t opted out. Texts only go out between 9 AM and 8 PM in your timezone; a text sent later waits for 9 AM. One text to the list a day, and up to 2,000 texts a month.
  4. History: each send with how many went out, waited, or failed. Your list and every send are in your data download.

What happens next: Texts go out within a few minutes. Texting laws (like the federal TCPA) and your state’s bar rules still apply to what you send; Guardrail is a review aid, not legal advice. Texas firms: some advertising texts must be filed with the State Bar’s Advertising Review Committee.
